Flair & Fine Care Insight

It has been an exciting month at Flair & Fine Care. Rounding off another successful month of business, we celebrated Valentine’s Day with our extended FFC family. Although we believe that there is no single day for love, but the whole life. However, specifying a day reminds all not to forget the beauty of expressing love through flowers, gifts, and words. It is a time to rejoice and to be thankful, so life extends beyond the soil of the earth. Amidst these celebrations, our commitment to deliver the best services to uphold the rights of people with disabilities remains constant.

We received a lot of pictures from our dear participants who want to share their joy with us. Have a peep through this happy day celebrated at Flair & Fine Care differently.

Supremely talented Sukhpreet

It is not even a year since Sukhpreet joined Flair & Fine Care. Now she is fondly sought after by her clients. They all love this smiling girl with a kind heart and cheerful temperament. Always ready for work, and always responsive in communication, Sukhpreet is a go-to team member when we need someone desperately. She builds relationships with clients with her warm and confident personality and motivates them to achieve more than they imagined they could.

Sukhpreet opted for this profession out of her love for community service.

“I have always been a people person and very keen to help the community in whichever way I can. Working with NDIS participants has been one of my favorite roles so far. The interactions and stories that I hear and get to be a part of, are inspiring. Working with the vulnerable people in the community and being able to make a difference in their lives, is something that I am very passionate about.”

She also shares her experience of being a Flair & Fine Care’s support worker. “It is a great team of people to work with, that genuinely care for others. A supportive work environment with development opportunities, and flexible work hours to support my work/life balance.”

“As the old saying goes: if you teach a man to fish, he will feed himself for a lifetime”.

For our handsome Matty, this is true to the core. He loves fishing and hardly he comes back without having dinner in his hands. Hayden, his unicorn, plans the fishing trips for Matty, and they both enjoy sharing the hobby.

Matty has joined many Facebook fishing groups to keep himself updated. He has shown tremendous improvement, by taking care of his mental and physical health, through outdoor activities, and healthy eating.

Utilising the NDIS Plan Effectively

Utilising NDIS Plan Effectively

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding for individuals with disabilities to access support that can help them with daily personal activities, community participation, and overall assistance to develop skills for a good quality of life. The NDIS services are personalised to take care of individual needs. Once approved for NDIS funding, individual plans are developed after close discussions with the participant and their families. These discussions are very important in a way that a road map is developed for the participant to work towards independence. The Local Area Coordinators, or Support Coordinators can guide the participants on how to avail the services for the best outcome.
