How you’ll help NDIS participants
As an NDIS support worker, you will provide services at a variety of locations including clients’ homes, residential facilities, and throughout the community. You will support people with disabilities to develop their skills and abilities so they can achieve the goals mentioned in their participant’s statements. You may assist/ facilitate them for community access through socialisation and outings. Some of the participants may need assistance in household tasks, meal planning, cooking or shopping.
As a support worker, you will work closely alongside participants and their families, carers, healthcare providers and Flair & Fine Care. Your responsibility is to provide NDIS participants with services funded by their NDIS plans. You will be an important person in the lives of the people you help. This may include helping participants build skills, taking them to community activities, helping them to become job ready, and assisting them in living a more independent life.
We provide care in the following categories:
- Participation in community activities
- Development of daily living & life skills
- Household tasks
- Assistance with travel/transport
- Assistance with daily personal activities
You will be advocating for participants, helping them to cope with everyday challenges. And, you will be helping them to carry out the goals in their NDIS plans with the overarching goal of living a better, more fulfilling life.
